Fulton Lions Club Inducts New Members, Red Cross Makes Presentation

FULTON, NY – The Fulton Lions Club inducted Susan Duratt and Alex Conn as members at its January 19 meeting.

“We are delighted to have Susan and Alex join our club,” said President David Guyer. “As our club grows, so does our ability to reach and help more people in the greater Fulton community.”

In addition to the member induction, Rosie Taravella, regional CEO, Western and Central NY Region of the American Red Cross, gave a presentation on the agency’s many services.

She focused on a program that provides and installs free home smoke detectors, while educating families about fire safety, prevention, and escape.

Taravella also discussed the services the Red Cross offers active military, as well as the blood donation drives they are well-known for.

Past President Leo Chirello conducted the member induction ceremony and Fulton Lions Treasurer Mike Reardon sponsored both Duratt and Conn’s membership.

Fulton’s Lions Club, also known for its Lions Loot Sweepstakes, (April 30, 2017), and Lions Mane Event Comedy Night, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams, and hearing aids to residents in the greater Fulton area.
